Laurent Bordes and Annica Landais-Haapa work with organic and biodynamic growers across ten diverse regions of France, and ferment out of their former WWII bunker in the heart of Bordeaux. Their project focuses on unique blends that see little or no intervention, and works to give urban drinkers access to a drinkable connection with agriculture. A flash of vibrancy, prettiest of strawberries – just-picked, jammed and naturally scented shampoo, mineral tension, citric acid tingles & a whirling bath bomb level of carbonation.

Merlot, Bordeaux, France

Type: Natural sparkling rosé (Pétillant Naturel / Pét-Nat)

Grape Variety: 100% Merlot (from the Côtes de Bourg appellation)

Winemaking: Spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel, finished directly in the bottle, unfined, unfiltered, and made with very low sulfites (<10 mg/L). Suitable for vegans.

Alcohol Content: Around 12% ABV

Flavor Profile: Notes of fresh crushed strawberries, subtle red fruits, white flowers, and a light, playful effervescence with an acidulous and clean finish.

Inspiration: The name is a tribute to Prince and his iconic album/song Purple Rain.
